Chase Utley appears to be getting closer to the field as he worked out in the Philadelphia clubhouse on Saturday. "I feel like I've made some strides," Utley said. "Over the next week or so I'll be on the field trying to get more ground balls and making some progressions, just trying to get my feet under me." The second baseman has missed all 28 games this season as he rehabilitates his sore left knee. He'll spend the next few days working out with the Phillies, gauging his ability to handle work at second base and giving the training staff a chance to evaluate his progress. Once he feels ready, he'll head to Florida and begin playing in rehab games. "I'm not trying to look too far ahead," Utley said. "Right now, I'm just trying to get to that point where I'm ready for a rehab assignment."
