Albert Pujols went 0-for-3 in his debut with the Angels on Friday night. Los Angeles defeated Kansas City 5-0 at Angel Stadium. Pujols was issued an intentional walk in the eighth inning. "You want to do something special, but that's the way it goes," he said. "We got a win, and I think that's the most important thing." The first baseman signed a 10-year, $240 million contract with the Angels. "Just the same nerves that go through for the last 11 years of my career," Pujols said. "It's just something my dad always told me: If you don't go through that, you ain't ready. I knew I was ready because I was going through that."
