The Phillies will likely have an unproven second baseman to begin the 2012 season. Chase Utley is dealing with chronic knee issues and Freddy Galvis, 22, will probably be Philadelphia's starter on Opening Day. "Talked to some scouts about Galvis, and the opinions were unanimous: The converted shortstop is capable of being a very good second baseman, maybe even a little better than that, if he's able to eliminate the simple mistakes caused by inexperience, but he will not provide a lot of offense for the Phillies," writes Buster Olney.
