You can't read too much into Spring Training lineups, but new Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine has been coy about his decision to bat Jacoby Ellsbury third this exhibition season. "Is he there again today?" a smiling Valentine said Sunday. "Wow." Ellsbury entered the MVP conversation last season with 29 home runs and 45 doubles as Boston's leadoff hitter. Valentine is open to a free-flowing lineup that is always changing, but many Major Leaguers crave stability. "I don't know," said Dustin Pedroia. "We've always had stability, so I don't know. I'm sure we'll figure out where everybody's going to hit eventually."
