There is a mystery team pursuing Albert Pujols and on Tuesday night it was reported that the Angels were that club.
A few hours after a scheduled media session with Los Angeles general manager Jerry Dipoto was delayed, USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported that a third "mystery team" had jumped into the Pujols sweepstakes, joining the Cardinals and Marlins.
Following the news, a number of outlets confirmed the report and others doubted the Angels would court the free-agent first baseman.
