After meeting with the Cardinals on Tuesday, former Red Sox manager Terry Francona is very excited to have an opportunity with the World Series champions. "I enjoyed myself," Francona said of meeting with St. Louis. "I was honored that they asked me to go. Now it's kind of the hard part. You wait and see. They're going to have decisions to make for their organization. Whatever they do, I'll respect. I was just honored that they asked me to interview." The meeting with the Cardinals took place in Cincinnati, where principal owner Bill DeWitt Jr. has a home. "It was a couple-hour meeting, it was pretty casual, over lunch," Francona said. "Baseball is still baseball. They have a lot of tradition, like the Red Sox. There's a lot of similarities. I feel how I feel. I just tried to make that be known. That's not always the easiest thing to do, when you're sitting there in a sport coat and a tie instead of a baseball uniform."
