The Indians were closing on a deal for right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez on Saturday night as the Rockies pulled the pitcher from a start against the Padres. Colorado pulled Jimenez after one inning because an agreement was reached with Cleveland. The Rockies will send Jimenez to the Indians for pitching prospects Drew Pomeranz and Alex White and first baseman Matt McBride. There are also reports that Colorado will receive a fourth player. The deal is not finalized as some minor details need to be worked out, but Jimenez was seen hugging his teammates in the dugout after he left the mound on Saturday night. Pomeranz and McBride were scratched from the lineup of their game Saturday for Double-A Akron. White also was told by the Indians he would not start for Akron on Sunday.
