As the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline nears, Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein says the team is targeting position players more than anything else. "I don't see a ton of pitching help out there unless it's the few guys who can really make an impact, who will take your farm system to get," Epstein said. "I think we could benefit from a complementary position player in the right spot." Epstein cited the organization's pitching depth as another reason the Sox may not make a move for another arm, but did admit that the club is continuing to find ways to get the big league rotation squared away.
