Jered Weaver will join his older brother, Jeff, in the Los Angeles Angels' rotation. The Angels selected the younger Weaver's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, and he will make his major league debut Saturday night against the Baltimore Orioles. Weaver, a 23-year-old right-hander who was the Angels' first pick in the 2004 draft, was 4-1 with 1.89 ERA in nine starts at Salt Lake. He allowed 44 hits while walking eight and striking out 66 in 57 innings, and pitched a complete-game shutout with Angels general manager Bill Stoneman in the ballpark.
