A source close to the Roger Clemens talks indicated yesterday all four teams -- the Rangers, Astros, Yankees, and Red Sox -- are intensifying their activity in pursuit of the future Hall of Famer. The source said he believes the decision will be between Boston and Houston, with the Astros holding a slight advantage. Asked about the Yankees, the source said, ``Obviously, you never count them out of anything. They could swoop in at the last minute." But, the source said, if the Astros fall out of the race and if the competition in the National League Central is too stiff for even Clemens to help, the Sox might be in the lead. Clemens's agent, Randy Hendricks, confirmed the Rocket is in ``Week 2 of an intense, three-week workout period. So far, so good."
