David Einhorn, the man who has been selected to join the ownership group of the Mets, calls the opportunity to purchase a stake in the team "way beyond a dream come true." Einhorn attended the team's 5-2 loss to the Phillies on Saturday night. "It was a lot of fun," he said. Einhorn sat in a luxury box during the game and met with manager Terry Collins in the team's dugout. "I met him in the dugout. Welcomed him to the organization, hopefully, and asked him what he's seen so far," manager Terry Collins said. "He just is really excited to be here, so. It was fun. He said, 'Hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to you more later.'" Einhorn agreed in principle to purchase a minority stake in the Mets earlier this week. He is president of private investment firm Greenlight Capital Inc.
