Kevin Frandsen, a second baseman for Philadelphia's Triple-A affiliate, was suspended for 50 games Wednesday following a positive test under baseball's minor league drug program. A veteran of five seasons with the Giants and the Angels, Frandsen signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on April 1. The commissioner's office said he tested positive for Ritalinic Acid, which essentially is the same as Ritalin, which is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
