It's no secret that Yankees captain Derek Jeter has struggled to begin the new season. He's hitting .206 after a hitless game against the Red Sox on Sunday night and many are wondering when New York manager Joe Girardi will slide him down in the batting order. Of the 29 balls Jeter has put in play this season, 23 have dribbled along the infield. He has almost become an automatic groundout to second. Of his six hits this season, only one came on a drive to the outfield.
