The Kansas City Royals have agreed to terms with outfielder Alex Gordon on a one-year contract for 2011, avoiding arbitration. The deal leaves first baseman Billy Butler and right-handed pitchers Kyle Davies and Robinson Tejeda as the club's only unsigned arbitration-eligible players. Gordon, 26, made a successful conversion from third base to the outfield in 2010. He split his campaign between Omaha and Kansas City, batting .217 with eight home runs and 20 RBI in 74 games with the Royals.
