The Cubs and Orioles have both signed veteran first-baseman to one-year contracts. Chicago signed Carlos Pena, while Baltimore inked Derrek Lee. Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel believes that both teams will go after Prince Fielder next winter. "Cubs signed Pena for one year and Orioles signed Lee for one year. I expect both to jump in on the Prince Fielder bidding next winter," Haudricourt wrote on his Twitter page.
