The Yankees think they have enough room in their budget to sign both Cliff Lee and Carl Crawford, according to a source. It remains to be seen if New York would first have to swing a trade to remain within the confines of their $210 million budget. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman met with Crawford and his agents on Tuesday night, a source told ESPN.com's Buster Olney. Cashman is planning to deliver an offer to Lee's agent, Darek Braunecker, as soon as Wednesday. Lee is long believed to be New York's top target.
