Willie Randolph hopes to get another shot as an MLB manager. "I hope not, especially this year. There's going to be quite a few openings, possibly," Randolph said. "I think I've proven to all the owners and general managers out there that I'm looking forward to and want to manage again." The New York product also admitted to still "keeping an eye on the Mets," who are 76-79 with seven games to play. "Obviously I feel there's still a part of me that's there in that the players that I've hopefully influenced. I really root hard for them," Randolph said. "David (Wright) and Jose (Reyes) and Carlos (Beltran) and those guys gave me an opportunity to get one game from going to a World Series. There's really a soft spot in my heart for those guys. I really root for them to do well."
