Yankees general manager Brian Cashman isn't at all worried about shortstop Derek Jeter's lengthy slump at the plate. "He is fighting a slump right now, but he will get through it," Cashman said. Jeter is hitting .262 and he's hitless in his last 12 at-bats with runners in scoring position. "If it wasn't him it would be somebody else," Cashman added. "Early in the season it was Mark Teixeira and how he has six more years left on the contract. Now it's Derek Jeter and he doesn't have a contract (beyond this season). It's what you would expect."
