White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy may not be ready to pitch by the time spring training begins. Peavy underwent surgery in July to repair the detached latissimus dorsal muscle in his right shoulder. His rehab schedule is expected to last five months. "I don't really know, and I don't think the doctors really know," Peavy said of his return to the mound. "They expect me to make a full recovery but said a lot of this is uncharted territory. They think it will be the case, and we hope that will be the case, but at the end of the day, nobody can say, 'At this point and time, you're going to feel this way.' " Chicago owes Peavy $16 million in 2011 and $17 million in 2012.
