Mets general manager Omar Minaya gave manager Jerry Manuel a vote of confidence prior to the team's four-game series against the Dodgers. However, Minaya offered no such assurances Sunday after the Mets failed to score a run in the final 16 innings of their trip to Los Angeles. "I don't want to talk about that," Minaya said when asked about the fate of his coaching staff. "I feel everybody here is trying hard. I could tell you the staff is trying hard. If you ask me [about] the overall performance that has happened, of course I'm not happy. Nobody is happy. "Guys are doing the best they can. But we're going to continue to sit down with Jerry and continue to evaluate how we can get better."
