Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran went 1-for-4 on Thursday against the Giants in what was his season debut. "Even though I didn't cry, it was emotional, my first at-bat," Beltran said after the game. He was playing his first big league game since Jan. 13 arthroscopic surgery to address an arthritic right knee. "It was a good feeling for me just to be out there," Beltran said. "I feel like I got called up. I feel like it was my first at-bat in the big leagues. That's how I felt. I guess as a player when you feel like that, it really shows at least that I still have a passion for what I do. That was good to see today."
