Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury's version of his injury troubles this season don't match his team's recounting. Ellsbury referred to two pages of notes in a nearly 11-minute recounting of his injury timeline on Saturday, from his April 11 collision with teammate Adrian Beltre to the past month that he has spent at a training facility in Arizona. He contends that his fifth rib fracture occurred during the initial collision and not while making a driving catch on May 23 against the Phillies. Asked if he thinks he'd be playing by now if the fifth broken rib had been diagnosed in April, Ellsbury said, "By me missing time and it getting worse, it multiplies the situation."
