The Rangers have placed outfielder Nelson Cruz on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. Texas was hoping Cruz could avoid his second stint on the DL this season. Cruz is hitting .327 with 10 homers and 34 RBIs in 34 games this season.
