Blue Jays manager Cito Gaston compared Brandon Morrow to Roy Halladay. Between starts the right-hander lowered his arm slot and adjusted his pitching motion. "I give him so much credit for listening and trying it," said Gaston. "You have a lot of players that you can try to get them to do things, they won't do it or they say 'I can?t do it,' or they'll do it for a day and they won't do it anymore." Gaston said the switch reminded him of one undertaken by Halladay. "I came back here as the hitting coach one year (2000), I've seen Doc not last one inning out there, they hit him so hard, it was unbelievable," said Gaston. "He adjusted by dropping his arm angle a little bit, it certainly made him the pitcher that he is today which is the best pitcher in baseball."
