Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman threw two scoreless innings against the Dodgers on Friday.
He struck out two and allowed just a pair of infield singles in Cincinnati's 3-2 victory.
Chapman defected from Cuba last year and agreed to a $30.25 million, six-year contract with the Reds in January.
He hasn't allowed a run this spring.
"I wasn't as sharp; I got some pitches out of the zone," Chapman said through an interpreter. "The last few games I have thrown a lot of fastballs. I wanted to throw more sliders. I was not able to finish my slider."
