Alex Rios is optimistic that he will rebound from his struggles in 2009.
"I guess I'm going to have to talk about it for a little bit," Rios said. "But I don't mind. It's part of the game. But it's a new year and I expect to have a good year.
"And next year in spring training we're going to talk about this past year, how good it was.''
Rios and the Sox are banking on a rebound after he pressed with a .199 batting average and nine RBIs in 146 at-bats after being claimed on waivers Aug. 19 from the Blue Jays.
"If I say anything (about past problems), it will take days," said Rios, who is under contract through 2014 for a total of $59.7 million. "I had too many things going on in my mind, and right now I don't have anything. So I'm just going to start from zero.''
