Joe Mauer has no interest in discussing his contract extension talks with the media. "I'm not going to get into any of that," the Twins catcher said when asked about that chances he might be a free agent next offseason. "I'm just going to open a can of worms. I'm just looking forward to this year, and that is what I'm preparing for." Mauer's agent, Ron Shapiro, has been negotiating a contract extension with the Twins for several weeks.
