Jayson Werth could command a deal similar to what Jason Bay got from the Mets when he hits the free agent market next winter. Bay reportedly agreed to a four-year, $64 million deal with New York. MLB.com writes that the Phillies may not be able to afford Werth at such a price. The Phillies also have top prospect Domonic Brown coming through the system, but it is unclear if he will he be ready to play every day at the big league level by 2011.
