Rays outfielder B.J. Upton is dealing with ankle issues, but still wants to play this season. "Things haven't gone the way we've wanted them to all year," Upton told the Tampa Tribune. "When it seems like it can't get any worse, it does." Upton missed five of six games recently with the ankle injury and struggled mightily to recover from offseason shoulder surgery in the spring. Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon plans to give Upton a few days off to help the ankle injury heal. However, he is adamant about playing again in 2009. "I want to play again," he said.
