The season is heading into it's final month and some believe that Ken Griffey Jr.'s career is close to ending. Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times wrote about the possibility on Wednesday. "Yes, I think this is Griffey's final month. I think the team hopes so and I do think he is coming to realize it as well, even though, I'm sure, he's going to miss the day-to-day reality of life in the big leagues," Baker wrote. Griffey had an MRI on his knee Tuesday. He has recorded 373 plate appearances this season, far short of the 500 many hoped he'd get in his return to the Mariners.
