Tim Hudson will start for the Braves on Monday in Florida. He hasn't pitched for Atlanta since blowing out his elbow in a start against the Marlins on July 23, 2008. Hudson went 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in six rehab starts. "[Hudson] told me he could have pitched a month ago in relief," manager Bobby Cox said. "But he's a starter, and we wanted to do the right thing, coming off the operation and he could be a free agent." The right-hander has a $12 million option for 2010, but could become a free agent if the Braves decline it or he vetoes it.
