Johnny Damon will be a free agent this winter, and Joel Sherman of the New York Post writes that he could return to the Yankees for one more year. The Yankees are unlikely to bring back Hideki Matsui, which would open up more playing time and at-bats for Damon if he opted to return. If Damon is looking for a long-term deal, though, it's unlikely that New York would accommodate him.
