Mets general manager Omar Minaya says that the team won't be sellers as this month's non-waiver trade deadline approaches. Minaya still believes that his team can contend for the National League Wild Card with more than two months left in the season. "Right now we do not envision [being a seller]," Minaya told The New York Post. "If we're 6? [now 7?back] in the wild card with a couple of teams in front of us, we are still kind of trying to find out how we can improve this team, if we can improve it through trades." The Mets are 44-50 and are 10 games behind the Phillies for the lead in the NL East. They stand 7 1/2 games back in the Wild Card race.
