To begin his introductory news conference at Nationals Park on Wednesday, newly signed first-round pick Drew Storen walked up to a podium, draped a No. 26 Nationals jersey over his dress shirt. The Nationals have a history of signing their first round picks quickly, but last year were unable to get a deal done with Aaron Crow. Storen commanded a bonus of $1.6 million, well below Major League Baseball's recommended guideline for somebody picked in that spot. Storen likely wanted to get out of the way of negotiations between Stephen Strasburg and the franchise, which are expected to be long and intense.
