Mets reliever J.J. Putz will miss 10 to 12 weeks of action after he undergoes surgery to remove a bone spur and pieces of bone from his right elbow.
Putz was officially placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday, and surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.
He is just 1-4 with a 5.22 ERA and two saves for the Mets.
