Prior to acquiring Nate McLouth from the Pirates, the Braves discussed trading for Cody Ross of the Marlins. Florida and Atlanta were reportedly discussing a deal that would have sent pitching to the Marlins. Teams have also shown interest in Jorge Cantu, but it is unclear whether the Marlins are willing to part with him. Jeremy Hermida and Dan Uggla could find themselves on the trade market as well.
