Orioles catcher Matt Wieters recorded his first Major League hit in the fifth inning on Saturday night.
Wieters launched a 2-1 pitch over Detroit center fielder Curtis Granderson's head and made a triple his first base knock.
"I do have the ball," Wieters said. "It's something that I'll keep with me for a long time."
Wieters followed that up with a double in his next at-bat.
