Yankees pitching prospect Ian Kennedy has been diagnosed with an aneurysm under his right armpit and will undergo surgery on Tuesday. Kennedy left his start for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on April 27 after feeling numbness in the middle finger of his right hand. He will have surgery at Roosevelt Hospital in New York under the care of Dr. George Todd, the same doctor who performed David Cone's procedure in 1996. There is no immediate timetable for Kennedy's return. "I told him today, Cone came back and threw a seven inning no-hitter," manager Joe Girardi said. "This guy does really good work."
