New York closer Mariano Rivera, who served up a game-tying home run to Boston's Jason Bay on Friday night, took the blame for the loss following the 11th inning classic. "Yeah, I wanted to keep it in the park," Rivera said after the game. "But it didn't work." It was Rivera's first blown save of the season; he blew one save all of last season. He came on to record the final out of the eighth inning Friday night, and was one out away from a save with one man on when Bay came to bat. The blown save came as a shock to many. "Yeah, it is, because he's been so great for so long," said New York manager Joe Girardi. "It's baseball and it's what this series is all about. I think at the point where they hit the home run, he was just around 20 or 22 pitches. He's fine to do that."
