Alfonso Soriano has always preferred to bat lead-off, but Lou Piniella has moved him down to the middle of the order to give the Cubs sagging offense a boost. "We'll see," he said with a laugh. "I said yesterday we had to make adjustments, so I think the manager made adjustments. I'm open. Whatever they want to do to make the team better, I'm open." Soriano was then asked if the move will be permanent. "It depends," he said. "If we win, I'll stay. If we lose, for sure I know he'll make some more changes."
