Derek Lowe, who will start for the Braves on Opening Day, hopes to reverse his fortunes on the first day of the season. Lowe was 0-3 with an 8.44 ERA for the Dodgers on Opening Day. He has a strong history of performing in the playoffs, and believes that pitching in October might actually be easier. "In playoff games it's so much easier to settle down because you've already been playing for six months and you've already gotten in a good rhythm," Lowe said. "With this you're just starting out fresh. You put too much pressure on the first game because you want to get off to such a good start. Sometimes by trying too hard, you get negative results."
