The Red Sox have named Josh Beckett their starter for Opening Day, while it appears as though Brad Penny will be their fifth starter. "It would be a great honor," Beckett said Friday, before the decision was made final. "Obviously it's something that you're always striving for when you get to the big leagues. That's something you look forward to, and it's something I'm definitely looking forward to." After Beckett, Boston's rotation is expected to unfold as follows: Jon Lester, Daisuke Matsuzaka and Tim Wakefield. Because of a day of rest, Beckett will likely pitch the team's fifth game of the season.
