The Reds are entertaining the idea of allowing pitcher Homer Bailey to make the team as a reliever out of spring training. "Possibly," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "That's something we've discussed. It depends on if we feel that's better for him in the long run." Bailey has been groomed all along to be a starter, but Baker was quick to mention that Pedro Martinez, Bob Welch and Nolan Ryan started as long relievers.
