Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia has a message for fans worried about his recent abdominal strain -- calm down. "Tell them to calm down. We'll handle this. We'll be all right," Pedroia said on Sunday. Pedroia was examined Saturday night by Boston team medical director, Dr. Thomas Gill. The injury was initially thought to be to his left oblique, but the medical staff said it was a strained left abdominal. "We'll treat it for a couple of days, for whatever he needs, and slowly get him back in. But the good news is it's not an oblique. So we're really relieved about that," Red Sox manager Terry Francona said.
