Mark McGwire has rarely spoken with the media following his appearance before Congress in 2005, but discussed hitting with the New York Times on Friday. The Times said McGwire agreed to the interview "with the understanding that it would focus on his work as a hitting tutor, and not on other issues." McGwire discussed his desire to someday return to the game of baseball as a coach, and touched on the work he has done with players like Matt Holliday, Bobby Crosby, Chris Duncan and Skip Schumaker.
