The Mariners are looking for a veteran outfielder, and appear to have free-agent Garret Anderson on their radar. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported on Saturday that Anderson's agent, Scott Boras, has been talking to Seattle general manager Jack Zduriencik about his client. "They need him to give that team [Mariners] a representative middle of the lineup," Boras told the Post-Intelligencer. "Garret knows the division's pitching," Boras added. "He hits the West well, and he's good for young hitters to be around and it's a good fit."
