The Yankees have shelled out more than $240 million to sign CC Sabathia and A.J. Burnett and are quickly becoming the favorites to win the AL East in 2009. When Sabathia was signed, Yahoo.com's AccuScore projected New York to go 90-72 next season, but the addition of Burnett has bumped the Yankees' expected record to 97-65. The current Yankees rotation projects to be Sabathia, Burnett, Chien-Ming Wang, Joba Chamberlain, and possibly Alfredo Aceves, who went 1-0 with a 2.40 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP in 30 innings in 2008.
