Ryan Howard has had a strong September and could challenge Albert Pujols for the National League MVP this fall, according to Delaware Online. "Those numbers speak for themselves," manager Charlie Manuel said of Howard, who led the majors with 46 home runs and 141 RBIs through Friday. "Who's close to him? You can say whatever you want to say, he's the best run producer in the league. He has the RBIs, and he has the homers." Howard also has the most strikeouts (192) in all of baseball entering Saturday night.
