Major League Baseball may be close to implementing an instant replay system to determine disputed home run calls, according to MLB.com. "We don't need a lot of lead-up time," said Bob DuPuy, MLB's president and chief operating officer. "What we need is to have stuff installed. What we need are people to make sure it's going to work. And what we need is for umpires to understand the protocol. I don't think we need a gala run up." Owners were briefed about the replay plan on Wednesday and more details will be discussed on Thursday.
