The Yankees have sent pitcher Ian Kennedy back to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre after just one start, according to The Associated Press. Kennedy is 0-4 with an 8.17 ERA in 10 appearances this season. He retired only six of the sixteen batters he faced against the Angels on Friday, and was railed for comments he made after the loss. He claimed he "pitched well" against Los Angeles, despite lasting just two innings.
